Sarah Greco and Jim Murphy were wed this past week in Maywood, NJ… and while the skies may have let loose, the happy couple didn’t have a care in the world.

Or at least they didn’t seem to have a care… Jim’s mother was quick to point out that this was far from the first wedding in the family, and Sarah’s mother was equally happy to talk about how much things have changed since her wedding in the Adirondacks back in the ’50’s.

After preparing at home, the bridal party trekked to the church at Our Lady Queen of Peace where the sanctuary was decorated with dozens of hanging candles (a theme throughout the night). After a brief Catholic mass, the couple exchanged vows before a crowd of family and friends.

Since Jim and his family own a bus company, the trip to the reception was a piece of… err… cake (more about that in a minute).

Cocktails, dinner, and dancing took place at the Woodcliff Lake Hilton, overseen by the careful eye of Melissa Loiacono with Pampered Bride Weddings. The cocktail room was decorated with an incredible castle of ice (setup to chill the vodka station), fall leaves, and custom matchbooks with the couple’s names and wedding date.

The reception was also out-of-this-world, with place settings reminding guests that donations could be made to a favorite charity (Autism Speaks). As the night wore on, the bride and groom not only cut their wedding cake, but a special tour-bus cake custom-made by the famous Buddy Valastro of Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop (from TLC’s “Cake Boss”).

Congratulations to Jim and Sarah–we had no idea bus-drivers could be so much fun! ;)
